Missions Emphasis Month - October 2018

7 October - Emphasis on Zambia

Life Bridge's Mission Trip to Zambia was in September. Pastors Bill and Grace and the entire team will be sharing their experience while in Zambia. In addition, we will hear from Princess Zulu and get a sense of her passion for ministering to those Zambians in need.

You will want to be here to hear the Missions Team's report from the trip.

Bill Ballenger and Break the Grey

Life Bridge actively supports many local missions related organizations and many of our LBC community are direct participants at or with these organizations (eg Associated Churches, Rescue Mission, etc.). One of these is Break the Grey, a regional ministry, who call Life Bridge their home church.

Bill and Break the Grey minister "reality" to middle and high school students in a way that meets these students where they live and talk about the challenges they face. To date they have ministered to over 300,000 students. What an important ministry!!! Be here as Bill and Break the Grey share their ministry.

Be here and be challenged.

21 October – Jason Harshbarger and the Receiving of Faith Promise Commitments

Jason and his family minister on college campuses. Recently they transitioned from Terre Haute, IN to Normal, IL. At Terre Haute - Indiana State University, ISU, his ministry was both regional and global and included outreach to students from around our nation and the world. Within the student population at ISU were about 1,000 international students from various countries - for example: China, Brazil, India, Germany, … . Reaching one of these students with the Good News impacts the world! He and his family will continue this ministry in their new location.

Life Bridge is currently supporting 30 local, regional and global missionaries or missions related organizations. This support is only possible through our Faith Promise Commitments. Each year the Life Bridge Missions Council prayerfully develops a Support Plan based on these commitments. The outreach of Life Bridge Missions is solely determined by each of us allowing God to speak into our spirit and each of us exercising our faith to be obedient.

Be present as the Faith Promise Commitments are received and cast your vote for missions!

28 October – Operation Christmas Child Kickoff

Since 1993, the Samaritan’s Purse project, Operation Christmas Child, has collected and delivered more than 157 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in more than 160 countries and territories. Those who participated in 2017 were part of the nearly 9 million shoeboxes that were delivered. This outreach to children around the globe provides each of us the opportunity to engage directly with a child with a gift shoebox (even with a personal note inside) with the assurance that the gospel is shared with the child.

This year, we will be joined by an Operation Christmas Child representative who, as a child, was a shoebox recipient. We will be able, first hand, to hear their testimony of how receiving a shoebox impacted their life. In addition there will be another very special Operation Christmas Child representative, but you have to be here to see them.

Be at Life Bridge on this Kick-Off Sunday and pick up your boxes and make a difference in a child’s life.
